1、 Product Introduction


FR705 is an environmentally friendly halogen-free flame retardant suitable for polyamide 6 and polyamide 66.

FR705 is a non halogenated flame retardant based on phosphorus and nitrogen elements. This product achieves flame retardant effect through foaming. Thermoplastic polymers containing FR705 foam and crosslink upon exposure to fire, forming a stable coking carbon layer and isolation layer on the surface. The protective layer has a thermal insulation effect, which can reduce the entry of oxygen and prevent the dripping of molten polymer. FR705 is a white powder with high flame retardant efficiency in polyamide. It does not corrode the mold during extrusion and is reasonably priced.

5、 Usage suggestions and precautions


Before incorporating FR705, it is imperative to pre-dry the polyamide resin following standard procedures. Ideally, the post-drying moisture content should be less than 0.1% by weight. Pre-drying of FR705 itself is not mandatory; however, if minimizing moisture content is essential, a pre-drying process (e.g., 4 hours at 120°C) is advised. The optimal processing parameters must be empirically determined based on specific application requirements. Careful attention must be given to ensure uniform dispersion of all constituents. Additionally, the melt temperature of the polymer matrix should not exceed 300°C to prevent degradation.

6、 Storage and transportation


1. This product is packaged in paper bags with polyethylene liners, with a net weight of 25kg per package, and transported as a general(common,ordinary)chemicals.

2. The product should be stored at room temperature in a dry place. If stored according to the above conditions, the minimum shelf life is 12 months from the date of shipment. If stored for a long time or accidentally exposed to moisture, it is recommended to dry at 80-110 ℃ for 2-4 hours before use.
